Terattiki, peeks out from her hiding place in the ruined fortress. The battle raged around her for two days and she didn't dare expose herself in all that time. Hunger made her brave and the quiet began to scare her more than the screams of pain.

There was no movement, no sounds. Was she completely alone? Where were he master and mistress? She had never been on her own, always doing the bidding of her mistress for scraps of food and a kind word.

Looking over the battlefield and seeing no life, she ventured amoung the dead. She was the only living soul in this forsaken place. Ah, Teratikki spied a piece of finery on the dead flagman. It is a bit large but she feels regal and claims ownership of this royal cloth. She has already forgotten the death around her as she tries to comprehend what the future holds for her.
